I ran a carfax on a 99 ws6 im looking at. everything checked out ok, but on the odometer check, it showed mileage when the car was first registed of course. the only other odometer info was where they tried to get it inspected and it said "Emissions check, failed emissions test" The car is BONE stock, and from everything i can tell, its a cherry and has never been modded...IF its never had anything done to it, what could make it fail an emissions test in stock form???

Could be something like a bad o2, or MAF. I dunno, you'd have to ask the owner why it failed.

2nd owner which im buying from has no idea. There is no ses light, so i guess whatever it was, they replaced it...

If it passes now don't worry about it. Being an F-body it could have been something as simple as a smog pump that ingested water or maybe the gas cap was loose.
