yep is is a 68 with a 5XX inch big block i believe. It was a turbo 400 with a gear vendors overdrive on it. Definately a sweet car done right but is now recieving a T-56 and it is going to be something other then an ls1 in it.. Not too sure but something nice

I have heard from a buddy who knows him that he owns a hotel somewhere and is worth tens of millions. But who knows what the actual truth is and if he is royalty. All I know is I would like some of his cars.

I like SW's black 69, its nice and clean. He basically did what I did, started with a clean example of a 69 with a straight body, and had it restored even more and repainted. It was originally bright green.

The Mule is still my favorite all-around 69, but thats mostly because of the twin-turbo setup. The rest of the car is okay, but nothing mega-fancy. The Mule was alot like my red 69, it was built to be driven and was far from "perfect" in terms of body or paint. I'm sure SW's black one has a better paint/body, since he probably had a much bigger budget for that work.

If you can turn the wrenches yourself and build a car, it would cost about $50-60K to duplicate this black 69. If you were paying someone to build it, the labor would put it over the $100K mark.

I think the only thing I would have done different on this black car would to put the RS front end on it.

Tony (not even close to the bankroll SW has!)

Ross, I believe SW's family is into the political side of Sri Lanka, not sure about royalty or anything though. His dealership in Austin is very successful though, and has an impressive list of celebrity/athlete clientel. If you were shopping for a new Viper and wanted twin-turbos and HREs on it, you would call SW and he would have it built for you. Thats the kind of cars he sells.

I wouldn't really call his cars a collection. Being in the business that he is in, every car he owns is for sale...for the right price. He has a few favorites, but those have a pricetag on them too.

The man definitely has excellent taste when it comes to cars and styling/modifying them though.

Will somebody please tell me why the 69 Camaro is so popular? You can only look at so many of those cars before you start to dislike them.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think that car and the mule are amazing. I will say that as of lately the 69 camaro has busted into a mainstream car again being one of the more popular cars to modify. Classic styling and readily available parts i think aid this. I think it is one of the better looking muscle/pony cars of old and used to be one of the more affordable ones...I got mine for 2200 bucks...running.

I cant see how anyone could get sick of them. Guess that's because i own one.

The '69 has always been the most popular Camaro. Even back in the 70s-80s it was the Camaro to have. Basically the "55 Chevy of Musclecars" in popularity.

I'll never get sick of looking at them.

I wouldn't say that's lame...That car lookd bad *** but it's just not my style. I wouldn't mind having a car like that if i didn't want to drive something cool everyday but i like driving my car to much to make anything like that out of it. I agree Nineball the 69 is the best looking camaro ever made and will continue to be if chevy ever decides to bring another into production.
