And UT has been a dominant national power every year for the past five years? To quote Al Borland: "Don't think so, Tim." OU has had plenty of reason to celebrate for the past five years. The Longhorns were due, and came through with a good win.
And until someone can prove they are better than UT, they deserve whatever ranking they get.

Nice try genius. OU had their time and now they've slipped a bit. Plain and simple UT is the best team in the Big 12 and also very worthy of their #2 national ranking. You can spin it however you want in your mind, but the fact is UT is a national power. Deal with it!Hook'em!

fickle pickle... What's great about today's win is the tradition and heritage behind it and TX still has the better overall record. The TX program in history has proven many times that it deserves to be one of the premier venues for Div 1 football and you can't deny that... With as many teams there are and as many biases there in the world of NCAA football, to say TX has never been dominant well I invite you to go back to the 60s and 70s DKR era
The TX team that exists to day would DOMINATE 90% of the 115+ teams in Div 1, and having a 57-11 record since the turn of the century does hold merit. Does TX win every single game? NO... Does any team? NO... Is TX the only team ever to perhaps be overrated at the start of a season???
