Default doing ls-1 header install a few questions

ok i'm doing a header install on my brothers 98 camaro he bought hooker long tubes and lanes true dual, my question is can i use the stock manifold bolts or do i have to buy header bolts, also can i buy stock manifold gaskets to use on the headers? and does anyone have any o2 sims for sale? it's a 98 ls1. any info would be great thank's

You can use the stock bolts , and gaskets ... ive got several sets of used O2 sims if you need them let me know (located in ft.worth)

Yea you can reuse the bolts and gaskets. Running around w/o the rear o2 simms will not affect performance it'll just cause the SES light to come on. So if your bro has to run around w/o the simms for alil bit it'll be ok.
Also you'll need some o2 extensions to make the front o2's fit.

U can use the stock bolts but go out to gm and get new gaskets so they dont leak. Soak the bolts solvent to get all of the old gunk off.

there use to be a guy's website that had a do it yourself o2 sim but this was a few years back and i can't find it anymore, anyone know of a site like that?

well i did the header and lane true dual install tonight had everything done in 3hrs including the drive belts car sound awesome hopefully my brother will be happy with it. next is going to be clutch, then a cam change

3 hours!!! Damn you must know what you're doing


As the 02 sim question goes I dont know much about making ur own but they're easy as pie to install (just plug in) and i have seen them go for $40 a pair in the parts for sale section
