Default M3s on the big end?

Are they capable of pulling stock LS1s from say a 100 or so punch? I know a stock LT1 TA that ran one up to 140 and get walked on prety bad. The guy knew he had no chance against it. But from what I have seen on the "internet" they run hard as hell

my dad's pulls quite hard because 4th goes from 100-130ish or so, so it still pulls pretty hard. i want to run someone in it. 5th goes to 172 as well

The M3 is more aerodynamic, has more hp and is geared better for top-end running. The stock LS1 (especially an A4) has very little chance beating one from 100 mph punch.

The good news is it's very expensive to mod an M3 beyond where they are stock, but just a few thoughtful mods on an LS1 will reverse the outcome (lid, pulley, headers, catback).

And an M3 is alot more than a camaro. So we have that extra money to spend on mods.

that's the most retarded statement and it gets used over and over again. a pinto with a big block is cheaper than your camaro, so then what. M3s aren't drag cars and thats not why people buy them. I'll take a bone stock M3 over a 427 camaro anyday.

I dont honestly think that a bone stock camaro could hold an M3 at those speeds. They pull hard at higher speeds. Believe me, I know. I will say that the stock ones I drive pulled much harder than my car when it was stock.

couldn't have said it better! An M3 is an absolutely incredible car with no comparison to a camaro at all.

LOL. I agree. I probably would have said it a lil different though. LOL.

If someone can affored an M3 they probably have more "extra money" than the average fbody driver regardless how much they paid for the car.

I was just checking out some M3s for sale before i came to this site to see this thread... the 2003 M3s look Sexy as hell. I'd take one for sure. I am a Chevy man at heart, but if you are a real car guy you accept a superior car when you see one. Yes, the M3 is superior to the f-bod in almost anyway you look at it... Quality, performance, dunno bout handling, but i'm sure they're good there too. The only thing to argue about is Price.. Yes the coolness comes at a pretty hefty cost, but i guess you get what you pay for! An 03 M3 20k miles will run you about $40k (low end). They are in the class of the CTS-Vs if you ask me.. I'd like to know how they compare to those more than the F-bods, but its not my thread!

Comparing an M3 to an Fbody is like comparing an apple to an orange.

Having said that, if some one gave me an M3 I would sell it and use the money to buy a C6 Corvette. But that's just me....

I dont go out of my way to spec out BMWs... I dont know enough about how they handle to state anything about that. So i'll keep my mouth shut... Problems w/ that?

I do agree with someone else that posted if they were givin an M3 they would sell for a Z06. I too would sell for a Z06! The M3s are bad assed, but dont compare to what the Z06 has to offer. Just my .02
