S.A.M. graduates?
I will say that these same people helped get me and my wife's car
where it is today.S.A.M.= Good people!
def. there is a ton of guys around here that went to sam! like you said, they are all a great group of guys

I have the utmost respect for SAM and the students and graduates and teachers. So don't think what i'm doing is bashing or flaming SAM by any means, so don't anyone read into what i'm saying.
I chose UTI because they teach the all around aspect and I wanted to do dealership work, and thats what UTI trains you for is working for a dealership, some of their teachings are a little far fetched and way out there, but they teach you everything you need to know to be a good technician in the automotive field today. If what you want to do is performance, GO TO SAM, don't come to UTI and think the joke of a "hot rod" class is going to teach you how to build a "worlds fastest..." car because it won't, its basically bolt on performance, and a SB build up, at least from what i've heard from students of Hot Rod, i'm not there yet. I didn't do a lot of research on UTI's Nascar U but it might be something for you to look at.
But like I said, if you want to be a technician go to UTI, if you want performance go to SAM. Its not really that hard of a choice, don't let the image of UTI offset your choice, because a lot of UTI is smoke and mirrors and i'll be the 1st to tell ya that, its a big selling point for them, but what i always tell students that go to UTI is, "you get ouf of it what you put into it" if you show up, half *** the work, sleep in class, then no you aren't going to be satisfied w/ what you are "learning".
I hope this helps your decision on what school you want to attend. I know a lot of the students and some teachers at SAM and some of the guys at HPE and they are definately a great group of guys to be around.
