If you're in the DFW area and can see all the smoke NW of you that fire is about 5 NM southwest of our house. I took this pic at about 4pm. Thankfully for us at least,, the wind just changed out of the north, so it should carry it away from here.
I know of at least 3 vol fire depts and the US Forest Service that are working on it. I hope thay can get it under control pretty quick but they've been on it all day and it's still not under control.

i live in crowley and i saw that a little bit ago. that sucks.

 

i feel for those firemen....i'm a captain in my volunteer department and am about to go through the fire academy to become paid....so i know what those guys are going through....grass/brush fires are no easy task at all....especially not with a heavy wind!! I'm with you...i hope they get it under control soon!!
