Default Guess this lifter....

Can anyone guess what kind of lifter this is,

I will give you a hint, this is the second 400 dollar cam that has been trashed by one of these lifters in less than a year

And yes they have been adjusted correctly, and not over reved.

DING DING DING!!!! XAON got it!!!

DO NOT BUY THESE SHITTY LIFTERS!

I have read this before, and i thought that the first problem may have been from my error in andjusting the valve train, but now i know they are truly crappy lifters.

I would like to convert to solid roller, but that will require a little more investment than i would like. I will throw a different set of HYD lifters in.

Any recomendations on a good set of HYD lifters?

Thanks
Chris

We have Comp Rs in my brothers car. Chris E. at MTI has had them forever with 3 or so different cams now and never had a problem with any of them. Maybe you got a bad run of them?

I must have been some bad lifters, i have not not heard too many re-assuring coments about Comp-R's though. I would not reccomend running any of the newer sets of Comp-R's!!! Its only one lifter that goes bad every time, its not like its the whole set.

They may need some new quality standards
