Once you spend 3 months fine tuning a setup, you might get close to perfect, after much testing and tuning.
also I cant see how someone can properly tune a car in 2 hours... i assume that the PCM must learn the cam..... dyno, tune, drive it around, scan.... tune...dyno.... should take 5 or 6 hours ....
atleast it does when i tune my GTP.... takes alot of scanning and reading logs to get KR down.... tune the LTFT and STFT's ..... etc. Never heard of it happening in 2 hours.

This is exactly why alot of folks choose DFI setups....And the only person Ive had personal experience with talking to that his one on his personal vehicle is Daniel @ SQR. He's also got a great backing with Job Spetter Jr a phone call away!

To get driveability and cold starts down, the tuner needs the car for more than a few hours to get that right, and over night a few nights would be best, from what I've gathered and experienced.
Going in somewhere and getting 2hrs worth of tuning done and a few pulls isn't going to make the car start/run/idle/make power as good as it would with someone spending some decent amount of time on it and looking at logs of what the car does when you mash that foot actuated loud pedal.

Also, its not really the PCM learning the cam, so much as it is adjusting the tune for the cam, watching how the car reacts, and adjusting appropriately. Yes there are tables that "learn" things, and can be cleared, but for tuning they are referenced for logging purposes, thats not where the tune is at.
