Default Anyone looking for a project car?

There's a red ws6 for sale in the tomball/magnolia area for pretty cheap. If you live in tomball he had it sitting across from the diamond shamrock at baker and 249 and the guy now leaves it sitting at a mexican restraunt in magnolia (didn't catch the street name or what restraunt)

video:
http://media.putfile.com/WS681

Looks like it was in a wreck at one point and the guy repaired it with a new paint job and new front end. It by no means is in good condition what so ever. Needs a little bit of paint work and some random stuff here and there but looks good from about 15 feet away

Upon further inspection I noticed lt1 brakes and when the owner came out i saw lt1 gauge cluster so I knew what was next. Guy said it's a 96 (not the original owner and he bought it this way) so sure enough it had an lt1 in it. It had intake and even a cam believe it or not but for some reason no headers.

The guy is only asking $9k and seems it would be easily negotiable seeing the condition. So I see $9k plus an extra $4 or $5k to fix all the damage and replace the motor and you got a kick *** ride.

Just my .02 if anyone has seen this or is interested in the car.

-Brian

I saw that car, every single body line is off, every one. Plus it had something like 156k miles...not sure but know it was well over 100k. 6 or 7k is more of a negotiable price.

it had 94k miles on it and i can see the guy easily selling it for under $8k. Seemed like he wanted to get rid of it soon and you could point out all the damages and easily drop the price.

$9K for that? More like $6-7K by the sounds of it, plus its a high mileage LT1. I've seen those sell for $5K before.

That's really high for a 96, not to mention one that's tweaked..

You can tell its an LT1 because it doesnt have T-tops.

The fact its been wrecked is a deal breaker. My 93 was $9K, 6+ years ago with 41K miles. LT1s have come down really low in price but just like how the third gen guys are with their cars people seem not to be able to grasp the concept of depreciation. For the most part they are starting to get wort it in parts, harder and harder to find good LT1 cores and heads

sorry brian but that car wouldnt be worth dropping that much money into. i agree with PSYKOCHICKZ28 and nineball that i wouldnt pay over 7 whatsoever.. if i was that guy i would part the car out plus cash for the original lt1 body parts and make some extra cash that he may lose off the car anyway.

looks good from a distant like you said though..

haha i test drove it. what brian failed to mention was how CRAPPY the shifter/tranny was. it was missing the boot, the shifter shook and rattle in idle (it idled at anywhere between 600-1500 rpm while we were driving) and there was almost no 3rd or reverse. i managed to get it into 3rd twice but i never got it into reverse. i would understand if i was someone that didnt know how to drive a stick, but i do. 95000 miles, no a/c, left side of the car didnt work, power seats didnt work (my head was hitting the ceiling the entire time) and the painting was horrible. he painted the pontiac letters on back instead of using vynls, and he did a shitty job of it. all in all it was a depressing experience. it looked sooooo good from 15 feet away
