what to do in austin? hey guys. i maybe going to austin next fri. what is there to do? i've been to san antonio so we know what to do there. just really havent been to austin. oh question.....did ya'll ever see the real world austin show? if you did.. do you know the name of the place where danny and melinda met? some like rock or mountain looking thing. i cant find it anywhere. if you havent seen i then please disregard. thanks.

Most of my favorite places (Steamboat, Pete's Piano Bar, Waterloo Icehouse) are either gone or under new management. If you like wings, go to Pluckers. Walk up and down 6th street until you hear a band you like, then go into that bar and relax.

stuff to do there's a meet on sat. nights of 1431. nice cars and nice people. weather should be good, downtown 6th street is another good place to go!!!! i might go. so u want to be a coyote, u must be good looking.

so does any body know of a romantic place to go in austin? like i said earlier on the real world austin. hey should this place and it over looked like a river or lake and you had to walk alot of stairs and it was all rock and stone. i dont thats my mission to find that place

Car stuff: go to the "1431 Meet". It is the Home Depot parking lot near the intersection of Parmer and FM 1431 (Mapquest it). The meet runs 6:30 to 10:00 on Saturday nights. Occasionally we go down south afterwards to race, but not very often.
A crew from the Austin F-Body Forum is usually there, including myself.Bar Scene: 6th Street or 4th Street downtown. I'm a little too old/been in Austin to long to really enjoy 6th Street very much anymore, but 4th has some cool clubs.
Real World: Have no clue. I must be too old now, because almost everything on MTV seems really stupid to me and I don't watch it. However, from your description it sounds like it could have been Mount Bonell.
