Default Has anyone shipped a car across country....

I am having a car shipped and am trying to find a good company to ship it here.

Anyone have any info on a good company to use?

I used A1 auto transport. They were the most affordable and included insurance.

i used DAS Auto shippers. Dependable Auto Shippers. The are really easy to deal with and have live tracking....

they have terminals in San Antonio, Waco and Houston TX.

I think it was A1 and they have a terminal in north austin, they were awesome.

here is word to the wise for anyone shipping anything over seas..
I work for maersk line who owns almost every vessel in the world. You can go straight to maersk and have them ship for you but no one knows to do that and you save alot of money doing so. Other companies get rich by you going through them and the only thing they really are is brokers contacting us to do the work. What will happen is you vehicle will be takin to a terminal where it is put in a container to be shipped. container is loaded on a vessal and off you go.. not very hard.

I have used Intercity several times. along with some others whose names I have forgotten.

intercity is the only call I will make.

ALL are a bunch of crooks, if u say u have a car they will give u the Truck size plan to make more off that sale, i have had horrible experiences with shipping companies the only company i used was like wolfgang shipping my jacked up f150 from TX to IL for like 600

i think i used a1 to ship my 2nd trans am from cali to east texas for $600. They did a really good job.
