SAM is like 27-28 K for both classes. Student loans bitches easy payback at low rates and payments to accomidate. Money cannot scare you away from success as an individual.

Well MrBill you are right and hey I will be using the militaries money anyway... lol... But if you want to do something you enjoy it should not matter what it cost. I will be hitting them up... Thanks everyone for the input.

In my honest opinion, UTI isn't bad. I worked with a guy that graduated from UTI about the sametime I graduated from Eastfield in Mesquite / Dallas. He wasn't real bad a heavyline but his diag was questionable. If you really want a quality education, try a JUCO. You'll get your money's worth.
I went to Eastfield and Brookhaven for 2 years to get my Diesel Degree. They teach you a lot. Most schools teach you how to change parts when they break. They taught me to figure out why they break as well. Just my .02!!

UTI was a waste of money in my mind.. The only part worth a **** was the Diesel pad..
I'll put it this way, if you dont know a torque wrench from and end wrench- thats the same way you will leave UTI, knowing absolutely nothing because most of the **** the teach will go right over your head..
On the other hand, if you know your ****, going there is just gonna be a year wasted in your life. All it is, is theory and how to use tools...
As for Hot Rod U... I was never more happier in my life until I finished it.. Most of the people who have been through it call it Micrometer U, because thats pretty much all you do- tear down a mexican block 350, mic it, then assemble it, and throw it in a t-bucket and hope to make over 140 hp..

I graduated from UTI July '04. I attended the BMW STEP program. I currently work for BMW in Austin. The money is good, I feel that UTI got me going in the right direction. Some stuff I already knew and some I didnt. There are good and bad things about the school. I liked it. I would recommend it to anyone!
