I bought my latest car from them. They gave me more money for my trade then Car Max on my old GTO and got a really good deal on my new one. The transaction went smooth and no problem with the car in the 6-7 months I've had it.

Don't be surprised if this thread disappears, just like the other TexasDirect threads have in the past.

They just buy auction cars, do a little touch-up and sell them. Sometimes the cars are good, sometimes not. From my experience the car I was looking at was not in the condition that picture / description said it was in.

i just went there last week to look at a 2008 Chevy 2500 Diesel z-71 4x4. I saw the ad on ebay and called them up and put a deposit on the vehicle of 500. After 4 days of them telling me i cant come see the truck because they put it in the shop to paint a scratch they finally call me. I go look at the truck, it still has lots of bad scratches and a large tear in the drivers leather seat and it wasn't a 4x4! they where very rude to me after i brought all this to there attention. to get my 500 back was a pain also they tried everything to get me in something else. All in all i think the place is run by monkeys, service is horrible and VERY unprofessional. I expect a certain level of customer service and attention when I'm dumping 45k on a truck. I don't need some guy in a mechanics shirt giving me lip because I didn't want there bull **** truck that was falsely advertised.

Also, this was the second vehicle i went and looked at. both where falsely advertised. The worst part about it was the service from the employees, Very unprofessional!

I would be more inclined to buy from a place like that if you were local to Houston for the reason coolguy mentioned. I wouldn't have given a deposit until I saw the truck though

thats part of there system. you pay the 500 and that locks you in so they cant sell it from under you or what not. they wont even deal with you if you dont put the 500 down. the place is a joke..its a chop shop with a nice cover!

That was the **** they tried to pull on me.. I was like nope I will come see it first before I put money down on some thing I haven't seen first hand.

coolguy

Did you get a chance to read some of the links I posted??? What they did to you and me is normal for this company.

Good thing they said it was a 4x4 because if they didn't you wouldn't have got your $500 back. Many people have been ripped off by them.

And I drove with my my wife and two kids to Houston from Dallas to look at the Truck.

7 and 5 year old

My mother-in-law bought an 06 2wd Ford F-350 dually from them a little over a year ago. It was nice and clean and as described. It was priced really good too.
They pull their 5th wheel with it every other weekend on average. No problems as of yet.

From what I hear, they are pretty hit or miss.

bought our 07 lime green charger daytona from them. The car had a clean carfax but had obviously had a few panels painted- you could tell by the bolts the fenders had been off.

Still- got a great deal on it and haven't had any major problems. I would be careful but as long as you can look at the car it might be worth it.
