he could be spinning and that could cause his higher mph's. my car has a huge difference in mph when I run on street tires and on slicks. whats his 1/8 Et's? that may tell the story

I was not hitting 3rd about 75% of the time... I had a shifter problem from my clutch install..... my last time at the track I ran a 88mph with the car and a 8.4 time with the car "barely" going into 3rd thru the traps.... I think I can atleast run a 95mph....
