Downtown Funkytown or some parts of N.Arlington are good. Also there is No Frills Grill on Little Rd. that is pretty good. And then the West End in Dallas.

I dont really like Dallas, I usually hit up the stockyards in Fort Worth or go to Arlington.

as far as resturaunts go, i've been to a few good places, but i'm not sure which ones are unique to the area. i'm still pretty new here, so i'm looking for good places myself... there's a greek place in downtown Ft Worth that i've been wanting to try, but i'm up for whatever.

also, friday night is street night at texas motorplex in ennis. racing starts at 7, so i'd be up for doing that before going out if you guys wanted to try a new track.

Lee Ann Womack, Eddie Money, Spoonfed Tribe, Black Eyed Peas, Pussycat Dolls and if you like old school punk the Subhumans are in town that night

Depending on your age and musical tastes there is plenty to do either in FW or Dallas on a Friday night.

It's also the first Friday of the month meaning it's Deep Friday! If they still do it you can get into pretty much all the Deep Ellum clubs for a one time price of $8.

there is the Flying Saucer in downtown FW. they have sometihng crazy like 60 different beers on tap. they also do live bands, and serve food. not sure if they have liquor though. there is also the fox and hound, which does pool tables and darts and stuff, but there is one of those in san antonio. not sure if there is anywhere around here that microbrews their own beer.

Hit the Library for $2 drinks until 11 then Petes is right next door Both of these are chains though, just like the Saucer. It's Nascar weekend to, meaning they block off a couple of blocks and set up some static displays downtown. The IROC race is that night btw.

I used to know all the answers for the hopping clubs and where to get a get homebrew but I'm getting old and turning into a home body lately. I still like the night life in Deep Ellam and Lower Greenville Avenue. If you like diverse musical choices go to FortWorth and check out the stock yards. They have country and rock joints down there at the stockyards, even biker bars. Billy Bob's is there and you might even get to see a concert there. Live entertainment is abundant in the stockyards and public drinking on the streets in the 'yard is allowed between clubs. Don't know if you've ever seen Walker Texas Ranger or not but the bar CD's is "the white elephant" and you can check it out. It's nothing spectacular but it's neat just to say you've been there and might come across some good live entertainment there. Next door to it is an open air club with live music in the courtyard. There are lots of places within easy walking distance to eat, shop and relax with a cold drink.

Have fun and let us know what you found to do and what you thought about it.
