The install did not cause the vibration. Maybe the part that was installed did, but not the installation. That is where I think they are as far as the installation being right. Shops dont make the parts that they install. It is there job to try to make a situation right if there is a part failure. It looks to me that is excatly what they are doing or trying to do anyway. I am sure that if RPM had the car, even if it did take a while they would figure it out. If it were mine, even understanding your frustration, I would let them fix it. just my opinion.

They are saying it was installed 100% correct, its not there fault RAM made a faulty clutch, pressure plate or flywheel. When you mod your car there is gonna be problems, ALWAYS Problems. **** doesnt line up right, something strips out, all kinds of crap. But at least RPM is trying to fix your problem, They could have said you bought the clutch and then prove we installed it wrong until then its your problem.

My brother was going to have somework done by them. But about a month or 2 months ago there was a man sitting in his car the parking lot over from theres with big signs all over his car saying that they screwed him for 3 grand or some where around that price. There was also a corvette sitting there with signs all over it to. My dad passes by rpm on his way to work every day and they sat out there for about 2 weeks. I have heared bad things and good things but its a risk you take.

I haven't had any issue with them and neither have any of my friends that use RPM. I work at a dealership and we have people all the time that complain, but until you know the whole story you can't really make a judgement. Most of the time they complain cause there mad cause we couldnt sell them a car cause no finance company will pick them up cause they never pay anybody Maybe you should have asked RPM why they were sitting there and then ask the people why they were sitting there and make your own judgement?

I have had to take my car several times back to get my tune fixed on a busy saturday when they where busy tunning more important cars than mine and Brian took the time in between to take a look at it. I guess different people, different expiriences. I can't speak for everybody who has used their services

I totally agree with that, you can't expect it to be 100% flawless like it was when you got it at the dealer. Even at that, there is sometimes flaws from the dealer.

I never saw the Corvette but that guy in the old T/A is funny .. You have to hear the story on that one.. But what Ravenous says is right get it from the horses mouth ..Hell when I first went to RPM I saw that guy (Old T/A) and I thuoght to myself Uh-oh what am I getting myself into but as it turns out it was the best move I made. My car got fixed and I made new friends..

silverz06: When I did the textrilla clutch there was a heavy vibration around 3-4k rpm.. thats a normal trait of a heavy clutch that can handle some power. its considered chatter.

The first clutch i recieved was out of balance and wouldn't shift into gear over 5krpm.. did the same thing when the mechanic and Brian at RPM drove it.

Textrilla sent out a new clutch/pressure plate (they even paid labor on the re-install) top notch customer service. The new set fixed the problem but that vibration was still there I found thats a normal trait of a heavier clutch. If you think its abnormal vibration have Brian drive it.

I honestly think Doug your taking out your frustrations on RPM that should be directed towards RAM.

How is a 100% perfect install the first time when the car has been back several times to fix that issue?

Oh yea you never said that. Man ya'll hold grudges. Same ole arguements.

i have had cars with full metalic clutches and no springs. i know what chatter is. the problem with my car is not chatter mellow yellow rode in the car last night and can tell you its not chatter. my shifter shakes pretty much at all rpms but very noticeable 3500+ and i have the stock shifter. mellow told me about your problems and that they had changed your clutch out. that is what fixed your problem. and sorry to hear you got rid of your car. speedway white sure is nice.

thats the best solution get a new clutch/pressure plate.. might be like pulling teeth to get RAM to do it.. i don't know.

it was a fun car i was kinda bored w/ the color.. i want either burnt orange, red, or black on the next one.

actually that was right after it was tuned, i went back and sean/sam got the car running better. it wasnt an idle issue, more of a hanging at rpm issue.

uhhh has anyone though about balancing the whole assembly together before putting it back in the car?

putting in another pressure plate seems like a hit and miss proposition

Kirk: no clutch Ive had in my car vibrated other than at take offs from a stop.
