I've got t-tops and i havent put them back on in like two weeks, but i'm in SA and don't really have the humidity problem like houston. I probably wouldnt get a hard top just cuz one of the things that made me buy mine is that fact it had the t's.

I like my t-tops so when I have my helmet on and I am auto-x'ing I don't hit the glass with my head.

i love my t-tops, they are awesome, houston weather is pretty humid and hot but i usually take them off anyway. sun's good for you, and hell maybe you'll sweat off a couple of lbs! my car does leak a bit but not due to my t-tops cause my window motor torqued the hole it bolts into making it bigger over time. so the front of my driver's window sags 1/8 - 1/4 inch

I like my hardtop, its different usually dont see many of them. T-tops are nice though but somehow remind me of Smokey and the Bandit. I like the targa tops better though. Its a toss up!

Is a hardtop F-body stiffer? Do they have less rattles?

My Camaro is a hardtop, but Id like to pick up a T top 98+ T/A sometime for cruising around. The Camaro is going to become a race car eventually, so the hardtop is perfect for that. I had a Buick GN before my Camaro with t tops and I hated them with a passion. No matter how I adjusted them they still whistled over 70mph and leaked water. I even replaced the seals, still no good. They seem to hold up fairly well on the newer F bodies.

My '94 Z28 was a hardtop car, my '94 TA was a t-top car, and every day I got into my TA I wished it was a hardtop car too. T-tops in Houston are worthless 99% of the year, so the only time I ever used them was when I was cleaning the car (then they were awesome compared to the hardtop ). I know that if I end up with another F-body, I'll try to get another hardtop - they just look cleaner and leak less .

I think t-tops are better. As long as you pay attention to when they are locked and not locked you will be fine. The road noise is not any louder, and if you get good subframes your chassis will still be as strong.

my vote goes for ttops. i have them and even though i cant take them off much i still enjoy looking up through the roof. and i agree with bbadws6, if you get sfc's, chassis stiffness will not be a problem.

Well, on a cold day w/ precipitation or dew in the morning you can tell that there isnt anymore to a hardtop than there is with a T-Top.

If you really want a hardtop that bad buy a mustang
Kids....

---------------

I looked at several Fbodies before i bought mine. Some had T's, some didn't.
Didnt change my decision any.

Theyre cool, but I like HT's better, IMO.

And I enjoy my Z to the fullest, without having to worry about leaks or rain, and the sun shining in my face.

Its all personal preference.
