Then I was reminded the other day that I have a warrant out for speeding in a small town south of Ft. Worth called Grandview. I was like dammit, I am usually all over paying these things. Well it looks like I will be going to Houston for a little court room partying.

Deferred adjudication still exists, you just ask the prosecutor or judge.
I had an 80 in a 60 back in Nov. from HPD and got 180 day def (long time to go slo) only cost $195

Not an option, if you have a CDL you pay the fine or take it to court. Wonderful law right there

A criminal defendant is required to appear on their jury trial date. You cannot be on call for something like that

Judge Yeoman has a very high volume court. Thay have limited resources. You won't know what will happen until everything is in play. You are correct about the limitations with CDL holders but you still have some options.

Like what ?

I just find it rediculous that I have to come down there for a simple speeding ticket, I mean really is this not outrageous? or is it just me ?

To use Sprecher I have to try now and rearrange the court date & time. I pretty much have to say that Harris County has the dumbest *** rules on appearing for a speeding ticket. I have to get a letter from who I dunno my mom I guess my first grade teacher and blood of a mongoose just to avoid driving down for a day. Thanks for the help everyone and lets just hope the man don't hold me down, I told the court secretary I was a victim of profiling. She said "How so", to which I said " I am in a "sports car" due to the inherent disliking the entire police system has for any individual in a performance type car". Well she laughs and says "tell it to the judge honey, but you are original with this one for sure, and we will see you on the 6th of June".

Damn the luck lets just hope they cannot pull up my other speeding warrant from two years ago I forget to pay.
