Anyway, a bunch of us all headed out to race - GSX-R 1000's, R1's, etc. Well, this thing "walked the walk" and had us all beat. My buddy on the 'Busa never had a real chance to race, but it wouldn't have mattered; the Supra had him covered.
Anyway, we stopped to shoot the **** for a while. The guy's cool, told us what all he had done, etc. The part that I'm shocked about is that the transmission and rear end are completely stock. Are Toyota drivelines that bulletproof? Why can they throw 800, 900, 1000 horse at a stock tranny and rear without having problems? Is it not true? Even Nineball had his C6 differential crack and that was at maybe 520 horse?
Just curious about the Supra. I have always appreciated them. Only race a couple and beat them all, but I know some have some serious *****.

Yeah....autos sap a whole lot of power....especially a Turbo 350...
Neil Chance is probably the best you can buy....if I could afford one that is the one I would of bought....I run a Precision Ind.....
I really wouldn't worry about dyno #'s...I know for a fact mine would dyno like *** but it runs like a champ at the track....

second
Toyota Getrag 6pd transmissions are virtually bulletproof... with a good clutch, guys are putting out 1200+ rwhp through them into the stock diff (or trd diff) and stock axles
Toyota A340e automatics are a different story... they can handle about 400rwhp before they fry (mine had 3 trans coolers and a deep pan and still fried on 2 occasions, and second gear told me to go **** myself and blew through the case)
Many high horsepower (for example Marko D. running over 1400rwhp) and single digit supras are running TH400s, through a 4" driveshaft into the stock Torsen Diff and stock axles (this is my new setup btw)
Our motors are relatively easy to modify...1/4 of my car is GM at this point (driveshaft, TH400, converter, map sensor, IAT sensor, shifter, and a couple other things here and there)
some of us are even throwing 800,900,1000 hp at the stock block and pistons (it doesnt last tooo long but there are a couple guys doing it for years now)
hope i answered your question

some of us are throwing 800rwhp, 900rwhp, or 1000rwhp on stock bottom ends
that make it clearer?
im personally aiming for 700rwhp on stock bottom end with 272 cams and 5 angle valve job
sc300: what intake manifold is that? it looks similar to the virtual works
