I got my paycheck today and it is like 4 times what it should be. It is HUGE. Should i tell them or should I wait and see if they say somthing???

That happened to my girlfriend, only hers was direct deposit.. She got a $7,000 paycheck and we didnt even notice it until the end of the month when bills were due. We said screw it and bought some new kitchen flooring with it, about 3 months later her work found the mistake and asked if she wanted to pay it back in full or garnish her wages until its paid off. My sister is the accountant where I work and she has said before that if this happens it is best to let them know because they will find out and they will let you have that fat check. You will just go as above stated and be paycheckless. Or just quit right now and find another job if you want to be real shady.

At an engineering firm I previously worked for this was somewhat a common occurance. Some of the hourly employees were paid double or triple their normal pay. Over a 3 or 4 year period I can think for atleast 6 times this happened to numerous guys. Some chose to return the cash while others didn't and were never approached about it. I personally returned what was overpaid to me, though hard it was.
I have decided to give it back. My son asked me what i was going to do and i have to set a good example. He thought i was crazy but i explained it was not mine to keep and he understood. Thanks for the suggestions.
