Default Is it hot yet in Texas?

Well I will soon be moving the family to The San Antonio.....You guys think it's hot already?

I am working in Iraq with our troops, and I got a friend to snap a couple of pics roughly @ 3pm this after noon(Jun 19 2006).....Notice the thermo ust behind me....

Remember it's only June, the temp should jump somewhere around 20-30 degree's more by end of July into early August.....

Having fun in the sun.....

The link below will get you to the pics:

Have a good one

Hot? I'm turning my A/C on in the car before 10:30AM. Does it ever get cold in Texas is the question?

I was over there in '04 from the beginning of June to October. Get your hairdryer and turn it on, and hold it about 3" from your face. That's how it feels the whole time when the wind is blowing, and you can't get away from it. I had a pic of one of our guys holding a big thermometer, and the needle was past the 150 mark in the sun.

i'd rather have dry heat than this muggy heat. at least dry heat you can breath in, humid muggy heat makes you feel like your drowning breathing.

Heat is not too bad here yet. Still got alot of summer left. Still waiting for all those 100 deg. + days. Not like I welcome it though.

I hated Balad. It was raining mortars and rockets around where we worked the whole time we were there.

Should be easy to find another job. Just about all of the contractors I met had got hired on with KBR just to get overseas and find a better company. The Osh Kosh guys I was working with made $10K a month salary, with a $5K bonus each month if they met production and didn't miss any days.
