Default help please. master cylinder

I have a new ram master (tranny) hooked up and hooked up to the slave but not the tranny yet. Is there any way to bleed all the lines with the master on the car?

Pull it off and bench bleed it. Air pockets are going to stay in there if you try to do it on the car. I have some good instructions I saved from a while back that will get it bled PERFECT. I went through high rpm shift problems like crazy until I bench bled the mc correctly.

im having this problem right now, i did the drill mod but did not bench bleed. i was told that if air gets pushed through the master cyl that it will ruin it.

if i buy a new pre-filled unit, how will i install with resevior attatched?
im confused

Just FYI, it usually takes a while before the clutch grabs. Its a pita. The first time, we had to steadily pump it and bleed it for almost 35 minutes before it started to build pressure.

if you know someone who has a pneumatic bleeder, do it that way. Usually you are going to need a friend who works at either a dealership or a car shop who will help you out.. it only takes 4 minutes to bleed your system this way. the line from the machine hooks into your bleeder valve on the slave cylinder and forces air up thru the lines to the fill reservoir..... its TOOOO easy this way, and the only way i found that really works besides taking it all out and bench bleeding the system..

if i installed the MC dry back onto the car then tried to bleed the traditional way.
filling it up while it was installed then proceeded to try and bleed it through the bleeder screw.

another question, i noticed fluid comming from the small slit between the tranny and the bellhousing while i would open the bleed screw. is this normal or did my slave cyl get damaged in some way during this???
