Fuc* Art!!!
First off I want to say that I had nothing but problems with my clutch (spec 2) since the day it was installed. They said it was "Ok" to put the new clutch in without resurfacing the flywheel (not a good idea) but at the time I figured what the hell they know what they're talking about. So I get in the car and it shakes pretty bad, and they tell me it will go away. It never does so I throw a poly tranny mount in and it helps some. While Im under there I noticed that the torque arm bolts must have not been tightend because there were no nuts holding them. So I tighten it back down and that also helps some. Well a few weeks go by and its still shaking a pretty good bit. So I decide to make a trip over there, well after "analyzing it" apparently its normal. Well I go on my way, after about 3k miles the clutch is basically gone and wont grab for ****. So I ordered the new clutch.
I just put the new clutch in, and ART was the last and only person to take the tranny out of the car. First thing I noticed was that there were no washers on the bolts to the torque arm. I said ok, I guess thats alright Ill get some more. Well I start to unbolt the tranny and theres 1 bolt missing from the tranny to the bellhousing. 3 bolts missing to hold the bellhousing on the motor, couincedentally the 3 at the top. So, Im pretty upset by this time but I get over it. I get everything unbolted and ready to go. I TRY putting the new slave on and one of the bolt holes are stipped to hell, it wouldnt tighten worth a ****. So i tried everything to get it to tighten, and ended up puttin a washer and some loc-tite on it. The damn cover that covers the flywheel where the start mounts was missing too!
I'm a little upset about it all as you can tell.

Do you know anyone that reports for a local newspaper?? If so, I would see if they can publish a story on this shop and situation. But then again I am cruel like that.. You may also be able to just call a newspaper and let them know.

provide more details about this shop and where its located...so others can know to stay away from it. hell, if they gave you problems and wont help you with it, the least you can do is hurt their buisness by steering away customers

ya please tell me the shop to. You should report them to the local news and a consumer reporting agency, or BBB. Stop being lazy and report already so others dont end up like you!

Don't jump on the Fuc* ART bandwagon so fast.
The owner was not even aware of the problem and has agreed to make it right.
"Phil, this is the first I have heard of this. Please contact me A.S.A.P. so we can get something figured out. I am really sorry this has happened."
I know the guys at ART and they did my clucth swap on my Z06 and I had no issues. Apparently Phil had some issues. After my swap I took it back to have the shop mechanic who I know listen to mine. 16K miles later I have no problem.
If Phil didn't even contact the shop owner before posting this to give him a chance to make it right then that's kinda fucked up. And apparently the threatining calls were just someone ******* with him. I dunno but that's what it sounds like since he posted this.
"Inside sources say someone was being stupid. No names though" Whatever that means I have no idea.
Here's the thread if you want to check it out.

**** can happen and ART is offering to fix it. So don't just jump to conclussions based off of one side of the story.

Seriously though I know the installers and they do good work.
I think you'd find much more happy customers than pissed off ones from ART.
**** happens. Look at the space shuttle. There has been like 113 launches and 2 failures. I don't think you can hold a shop to 100% success. **** will happen and ART has good mechanics.

When I pulled that tranny (which was fried because they didnt flush the lines) there were at least 3 bolts missing from the bellhousing and at least 2 missing from the headers. They did all the work on that car and it hadnt run for more than a week straight... so THEY missed those bolts. No way around it.
Some of the bolts in the bellhousing were hand loose and some were breaker bar tight... a sure sign of impact gun usage. There were tranny crossmember bolts were 100% stripped... you could spin them by hand.

Pat, you cant compare space shuttles to cars. If you know ANYTHING about space shuttles, you will know that they are made by the lowest bidder. Rockets/shuttles are MUCH more complex than you even know.
Space ships are going into uncharted territory and you can hardly compare them.

BTW... Phillip, are they threatening you with libel and slander lawsuits?
