Default Track this Friday...

Anyone going to Baytown this weekend? Since Sealy isn't opening up this weekend, this will pretty much be my last weekend before I have to go back to school that I can race. My cousin is coming down from Austin in his 2000 Lightning and Mark (LT1 97 Formula) is going too. Hopefully they have good track prep, but I got a set of BFG drag radials.

I'm driving down to get my car tuned tomorrow and will hopefully be hitting HRP tomorrow night with my new cam. My cousin will be going with his '05 GTO as well.

You still going to just meet us out there? I have to stop in downtown to pick up my buddy from work at the transco tower. We're leaving my house at 4ish.

I went and didn't get to talk to too many LS1 folks. The few I did talk to never mentioned this forum, but you never know. Anyone talk to a skinny kid in a white WS-6 with a cam and open cutouts?

Well anyway the track sucked for me because I was on et drags everything else good and then my tb cable snapped on my first launch, wtf stupid car..., and no one in houston even stocks it.

I did, I got my *** blown away by you. I was in the NBM SS. Bad *** car man, I had to leave right after that pass. Are you planning on coming back to HRP any time soon? If you do give me a shout and I might be able to meet you out there.

Oh, yeah, we got to talk a bit.

I don't know how long it'll be before I'm out there again. I only go down to Houston to visit my cousin every month or two. It's hard to get him to go out there because he's not into the drag racing thing. I'd do it every weekend if I could!

I'm sorry I missed a lot of you. We got there late, so I was just hot lappin' it to get as many runs in as I could. I'll definitely post up next time I'm going!

Dude, that sucks. I've never even heard of a TB cable snapping. I hope it's not too much of a pain to replace!

Exactly no one has ever heard of one breaking, it snapped off launch my car barely moved a car length and then i just rolled down the track really slowly. It was ordered today but it has to come from Michigain

What kind of times do you run (with a functional throttle cable, of course), LT197Formula? Your car's putting down pretty similar numbers to mine, so I'm trying to determine how bad of a driver I am.

Havnt ran it with the current setup, hoping for at least 11.7s on et drags maybe get down to a 11.5, on my nittos im not sure if ill be able to get 11s just depends how well i heat them and drive it. My numbers were through a dynojet so yours are higher than mine.

I was rather pleased with how my little bolt on LT1 ran considering how hot and humid it was out that night. Track prep was awesome (so good that I need a 2800+ stall in my car just to get it off the line quicker). Sucks that this will be the last time that I can go to the track before heading back to school in Oklahoma, but least in Oklahoma the quater mile track is only 10 minutes away instead of an hour.
