Default Need Opinion

I just bought a work truck and I am not sure if I should do anything to it. It is an 05 Silverado 4.3L V6. I didn't want to get the V8 because I have the Trans Am but I can't help but want to put an exhaust and rims and all that crap on it. If I do mod it, it would all be done tastefully. I just don't know about putting an exhaust on the V6. Opinions are appreciated but if you want to talk $hit then make your own thread.

Thanks,
Joshua

Just rims. If cleaning up the exhaust, go for look and not sound. It is a V6.

I think the 4.3's sound good for a 6 banger as long as you dont put a bullet or something like that on em. A good turbo muffler or something along those lines would sound ok imo, give it a lil rumble without gettin ricey. I'd do both if it was mine.

I don't do much hauling around...I am a Safety Manager and I just wanted a truck but I wanted one that didn't suck so much damn gas. I mainly want it to look nice...not going for any loud *** crap...thats what I have the T/A for...lol. I have big plans for the T/A in the near future so I am not really worried about just spending the money on the T/A. I appreciate everyone's input.

I would at least get a handheld tuner for it. The 4.3's get about average LS1 gas mileage (i've owned both) but with a tuner, intake and maybe a catback you will probably see a pretty good improvenment.

Otherwise I would leave it alone, b/c you got it be a work truck.
