To me the best place too park would be that old church. But you'd haft to get their a bit early due to the usual turn-out.

Is it not driveable?

I think the church is a good idea, but again, it is a popular place. I'm wondering if 4pm would be early enough.

That was a pretty good spot. I believe it's the parking lot for that Con's or whatever it is now.

Okay, some of us are going early to get a good parking spot at the church that Oldblue was talking about. Probably by 4:00pm on Sat if not before. The spot is on the left after you go UNDER the railroad tracks going away from I-10 down 11th St. You can't miss it because it's the largest most lit parking lot down the strip and it's right in the middle of the cruise. I can't remember the name of the church, but if I find out I'll post it.

Hopefully, everyone will make it and represent the f-bodys of southeast Texas...and also we may let a vette or two in.
And if you know anyone that has a f-body (or vette) tell them too.

So far I have counted around 12 f-bodys, that I know of, that will be going...and hopefully they'll be a few more.

Take a look at setxws6 and I goin at it!

Well, there is St. Anne Church at 2715 Calder / 475 N 11th St (around the Calder/11th intersection).

But if you're going south down 11th (going away from East I-10), this would be on the right side, before you get to the tracks. If you're going north up 11th (away from College), you'd go under the tracks and then it would be on the left.

I don't recall any other churches in the right area... are you sure about that description/directions?

No, not St Anne's. This church doesn't look like a church, but just a normal building. You can't miss it because it rights after you go under the train tracks. I think everyone knows where the train goes overhead because that where everyone likes to rev their engines up when they go under. Once you go under, the parking lot is on the Left side of the road right after the first light you come up to.

I found out the name of the church. It's Christ Community Church. It's on the left crossing over Hollywood st.

The building that setxws6 is talking about is the Old Kinsel's showroom and parking lot. It is on the corner of Hollywood and 11th Street. This is where they were located up until the mid '90's.

It's kind of ironic that all of the f-bodies are going to meet at an old Ford dealership.

It's ironic that now it's a church, because I'm sure the sales men did a lot of praying to get people to buy they're mustangs off the lot!!!

That sucks you can't make it Brettinator, if this get together works out, maybe we can do it next 11th st cruise come November.
