I'm only half Asian (Mom is Japanese). Luckily, my redneck/military Dad steered me in the right direction, and I always knew front-drive Datsuns, Hondas, and Toyotas were meant to be economy cars, not performance cars. We always had some sort of V8 RWD in the driveway.

hahahaha.that could be so true being that I am Asian...but i broke away from that mold along time ago when i had a hispanic g/f..then i brought home a domestic car...and on top of that i got a german car too...in between those two i had to have a lexus, ome toyotas, and two nissans...i usually take one of the Jap car when i visit my parents so they will let me in

Wow! The Japanese put strong axles in their cars. Who gives a ****?

There's some American powered vehicles running a tad better than 7.80's.

WTF is the wheelie bar for? Even if you drag race it backwards, it still won't do a damn thing.

Wheelie bars on FWD cars are to prevent weight transfer.

I've always wondered what's to stop somebody from pre-loading the wheelie bars on a FWD car against the pavement to start with? I've never seen anybody do it so I assume that has to be illegal somehow?

Larry @ SP said his friend Kean went 7.8's in his Supra. Larry just went 8.3@169 just using NOS off the line to spool the turbo.

You are an idiot. All cars of this caliber break, even your beloved wolfe and fereday (who seems to always be broke).

Who cares, it comes down to the fact that people hate the young kids with cars that are in the 14-15sec range that think and feel the need to show off and hurt people. Ie that is rice with a canister.

As for fast cars which you are talking about, they are nice, but not for everyone. To me it looks stupid to have runners on teh rear of the car, but that is me. Not everything is for everyone. I like the torque of a V8, but that is what I like.

That was not his point. Apparently you have not kept up with the boostlogic supra and the problems it has gone through to reach that number. Things break anyways at that power level AND usually the guy standing on the biggest pile of broken parts will 99% of the time end up being the one in the winner's circle at the end of the day.

Now, the times are VERY impressive. Problem is, kean and the bL gang has a HARD time repeating numbers that are stout enough to keep him in competition at things like COTT and what not.

Know the car, close your mouth.

Also, Congrats to Kean, Chris Johnson, etc. out there wrenching on the Boost Logic car.

If it makes you feel better Duy, I dislike V6 Camaros and V6 Mustangs too. Just because something is 'dometic', that doesn't mean we like them. It seems the opposite with the import crowd, they like all imports whether they are fast or slow. At least we domestic drivers can admit when our own kind sucks

My 94 Olds Cutlass has 180k miles on it and still runs good. It looks great. The insurance adjuster that had to look at it a a year ago after I was hit asked me how long ago I had it repainted. I laughed at him and told him I just took care of my car. Except for some wear on the leather in one spot on the drivers seat....the interior looks excellent.

I guess its junk though
