Coworkers 05 Dodge 2500 4x4 CTD was stolen in Vegas on their honeymoon. Security saw them on camera, they used a key to open the truck....he only took 1 key with him and didn't valet the truck. They found the truck in N Vegas 2 days after the insurance co bought him a new one, everything without a serial # was gone.
I have alarms with ignition kill on all my cars except my beater 99 S10. There is nothing in the S10 and it still gets broken into, just stick a screw driver under the door handle. I have been meaning to wire a kill swith on the truck since the truck is really all there is to steal.

And this is from KHOU website

They could never steal the car then, unless they tow it off.[/QUOTE]
That's what happened to mine. Middle of the night, no broken glass, nobody heard it start (and you would have). Police have never found it. But, I did get a nice replacement. However, I do need to get a better theft deterant device and Ravelco is very good. I also think that Lojack is a good thing, too if it's flatbedded away.
Tony - I'm glad that you're wife was ok and that the truck was still there. Fixing that stuff is way better than having to deal with the alternatives.
Like everybody, it just sucks having nice things and worrying about some scumbag getting it. There should be tougher laws for this, but more often, it seems like nobody is getting caught. It was a joke when my car was stolen. The Police just act like it's so common, that "your car is likely in a million pieces or on it's way to Mexico and there's nothing that we can do." Sucks to be you attitude.

I also ordered a pair of "JimmiJammers" to block the door locks from screwdrivers or slim-jims. At $40 for a pair, they seem like cheap insurance. Got them at www.TruckSecurity.com
Jeff, you might want to get a set for your H2. Here is how easy it is to unlock an H2 door with a screwdriver. Same color as yours too!

Mine looks exactly like this one:

I wonder if the diesel trucks are hard to steal or something? Time for lojack perhaps.
