I've heard that they do that here in Longview on Loop 281 and Alpine road. The other day on my way back from lunch I saw a cycle cop come flying out of the shadows under the overpass. Luckily he was going the other way.

Damn, good looking out! I pass through there in the early evenings on my way to the gym everday. I never even once paid attention if they are still there around that time. I'll have to keep an eye out.

The best on on the market that i have found and has been tested to work perfect is the M20 X Treme.
Laser is watched by the FDA, and can be jammed. It is HIGHLY illegal to have a radar jammer as it is governed by the FCC. You cannot legally jam radar, because it is a FEDERAL offense to do so. As for Laser it is governed by the FDA (food and drug administration) as it can be and is not illegal.
