Default Texas Ticket Help

I don't want my insurance to be raised so I'm trying to take defensive driving. To take defensive driving, you check the box that says:

"I hereby request to take a driving safety course etc etc. Enclosed is my request, proof of insurance, cashiers check etc etc.

Do I just need to write a one-liner letter or something that just says "Can I please take defensive driving"...or what?

I'd go talk to the judge and make sure they know you're going to take DD. That way there is not middle-man to screw things up. You know how well the judicial system works anyway.. Just cover your *** and let them know in person.

You checking that box is your request to take the course. It's labled as request so they have the option of denying your request if they find out you've already taken it within the past year.
