alot of it depends on the specific parts involved, but you can find a shortblock for somewhere around 4k usually.
But parts add up.
heads
cam
pushrods
lifters
gaskets
bolts
injectors, etc...

All in all i'm happy with it so far, it feels so much different than my old motor, night and day.
hey thats not bad at all though man. You can always swap heads and or cam later on in the game. I'm sure its alot of fun now anyways.

I had a 408 with stock heads (budget in mind at the time) and i still had fun with it everytime I mashed that loud pedal.

511rwhp might be about the highest dynoing Patriot heads I've seen, no need to swap those out.

Looks awesome, definatly suprise some people who think it's just another ole' mulletwagon.

Yeah, I am pretty happy with the setup right now. It's when I get used to the power is when i'll be itching for something more. If I was smart I would just sell the car and buy something economical, but what's the fun in that.

Hell, I figure i'm young and I might as well do it now.

You may pick up some inexpensive ponies by swapping your 75mm MAF to an 85mm version. With a 90mm TB, your MAF is now the choke point of your intake. Nice numbers by the way.

Yeah, I had intended on doing uprgrading and that's a new 75mm maf your looking at. My old one decided to take a crap on me and I would have gone with a bigger one if it would have fit my lid. They didn't have any larger diameter lids in stock and I really didn't want to wait on one to ship. So I guess I can upgrade the both of those next and I am waiting for those LG headers for the f-body's to come out.

I beleive LG's lid is as big as the 85mm TSP, but neither are really needed. You can use a coupler to go between the lid and the 85mm MAF. The 85mm MAF won't slide inside like a stocker will.

Hightempsilicone.com or Intakehoses.com both sell cool stuff you could use as a coupler.
