Your right, it does take DEEP pockets to stay competitive in TT5, but if you have the money, and you enjoy the hobby, why not spend money on something you love to do?

Oh yea, and Jasson, your old LS1 car is for sale again. I bet you could get a killer deal if you wanted to buy it back and use the chassis for your new power plant!

Yeah that's the key to have the $$$, don't get me wrong race cars are fun/cool.

IMO something’s should just come secondary to Careers/Families etc. Not knocking anyone’s decisions. Hell I don’t think I could ever really go through with selling my car but it will be just one of the things on the back burner.

Yep 4700 miles is not a lot a year but not unheard of on luxury cars or just weekend cars.

How many miles you think you will put on a drag car at a 1/4 mile at a time ???

I just really think you need to think about your decision on what you want. It sucks when a car is down, cannot drive it on the street, ect ect. Drag cars are money pits that can only be driven on the track.

I still say get a C6 and put a maggie on it and enjoy the fun of it. Then go and drag it everonce in a while. DTE makes a rear for the C5 version not sure on the C6 version. That would be my choice, I liked my old Z06, but the C6 is more cadillac of the vetts and well be close race wth a stock Z06. The interior is not as raw as the C5 version. If I had to do it all over again between the V the Z and the C. I would go and get a C6.... Cause i really don't need the space of the V, but it is nice inside and I can haul people if need be, but the rearend sucks....

DTE has C6 rearends and braces, I have them in my car (w/ 3.90 gears). I still don't trust it to hard launches though, so I'll continue to slip the clutch off the line.
