Ok, one of my friends who is also a board member has given me some options. He has a hypertech or '99 camaro pcm tuned for an F14 and 3.73 gears and the same stall I have with my choice of the two computer upgrades. Which of those should I slip on the car? The only reason for the hypertech would be to keep me from pingin the limiter about 2times on he 2-3 shift. Also, he is loaning me a set of front runners.

If you are bouncing the limiter on your 2-3 shift you need to adjust your shift points all together, or as you reach your shift rpm just let off the gas slightly the car will shift without hitting the limiter. The shift points will be way off on the 99 PCM not to mention it will be running pig rich. If the hypertech is clean set your shift points and firm them up a bit with it. That's about all Hypertechs are good for. I don't think you would have a problem with this GTO. Maybe if it was an 05 M6.

in mt TA with a lid, cat-back, and short shifter; i ate up a mildly cammed goat. i think his specs were 228/ 232, somewhere around there. he was on DR and i was on bald ADVANS. YOU GOT HIM MAN, NO WORRIES.

well just to write the ending on this story, the race was supposed to go down sometime this past weekend and guess what.....the **** talking GTO wouldnt run. the guy who owns the car is actually pretty nice, but his friends will talk 9 kinds of **** and then not back it up. arent you surprised? so if you are ever runnin through Bowie TX, look out for the blue 04 GTO, its supposed to be the "king of the hill", but wont accept any challenges.
