Default don't make fun...

i know that you guys hate my car, and this isn't the best representation of what she can do, but i took my first trip down the track this sunday night. nothing too impressive, but from what i hear, my car stock like it is should run about a 14.1.

my very first night at the track, i got a 14.6. (i'm pleased with it being my first time and all)

my launch was pretty crappy; i anticipated the light too much and didn't watch my rpm's like i should have. i had so much fun though and i can't wait till this weekend to go do it again.

Wink

That is alright but dont take it to the 1/8th. That is where it will look bad bc it seems to me like the mod motors dont like the bottom like they do the top end.

Actually quite the opposite. The mod motors (the NA ones atleast) kill in the 1/8th and die up top. The first gear gearing makes them take off outa the hole combined with a rearend that doesn't suck (like our wonderful 10 bolt does) makes for some fun on the launches. My gf has a 00GT with a few mods and some drag radials and that car is alot more fun to race in the 1/8th.

Not bad, those GTs aren't known for being blazing quick in hot weather either. Our '06 GT is a mega heavy turd, it only went 14.0 @ 99 mph while being powershifted. These 4.6L engines are turds off the line. Too low RPM, bogggggg. Too high RPM, spin+wheelhop.

14.1 stock? I don't think so.
