Wrecked car, best strategy for dollar recovery?

First of all you need to clerify is that a total loss check or a estimated repair check?
Don't listen to the BS about if you cash it that is it if its a repair check. That is just a basic estimate of the car before tear down. At my shop we would take the estimate from the insurance co then tear the car down and get the insurance co back out there for what they missed or couldn't see.
Are you a claiment or the insured? Makes a differance depending on the insurance co on what parts they can use. What company is it. You can PM me if you want. My job is an estimator in a very larg high end shop dealing with them all every day.
