CHL in Texas
CHL in Texas I dont know if any one else gets this from people but I have friends from out of state that cant fathom the fact you can have a CHL in Texas, their scared out of their minds that some could be carying a hand gun at Walmart. But I kinda wonder, what am I more scared of, some one who legally caries a hand gun and follows the law or some one who just has one and could give two rats *** less about the law? Maybe its time for people to start figuring out the guys who legaly follow the law arent the ones you have to worry about, but maybe its the criminals who dont that deserve some atention. But no one seems to get that, we are all just crazy in Texas because we can actually protect our selves. Maybe thats just a Texas thing?

What are your friends afraid of? Someone who is law-abiding, has had several background checks, and is certified by the state to carry concealed or the common criminal that doesn't give a F%CK. Your friends need to evaluate their thinking and fears. It's their type of thinking that allows criminals to run rampant through places like Washington D.C. and Chicago. Both of those places have had the highest murder rates amongst U.S. cities - neither allow for handgun ownership. Houston's murder rate as stated previously has increased by nearly 25% thanks to the N.O. refugees. Before Katrina Houston wasn't even in the top 10 cities for handgun murder, even though we are the 4th largest city in the U.S.
