track question...

on the next meet, if we go to the track i want to take some video. my question is...at the track...would they let me record vid from the starting line? vids from the bleachers are ok but most of the action is closer up! Anybody know? cuz i was thinkin about making a good quality video! thanks for any help

You can get right beside the wall and take video's, a few feet from the cars.

but you cant stand right there next to the car? i want to get some up close, below bumper, looking up, "heroic" shots...while they are burning out or something similar...not DIRECTLY in front of the car...and not WHILE they are racing...like before the lights...but close enuf to toucht the car (not that i would...but that close).
damn this is harder to explain then i thot lol
