This car will vaguely see the track.
But since you did bring it up
- I do plan on making some good runs in street form to see how she does.
It could very well run a 11 sec pass @ a high mph.
But on the way home I will enjoy pulling from modified bikes that are running 9's in the 1/4...
(Again I will have an LX car for drags and the vette to do any highway bombs).
Trying to cover both playing fields "so to say".
10.40's @ 142 with a car that was "street" legal and I say that lightly.
Impressive no question in 1996.
J. Salvaggio's car is a daily driven cam/nitrous car that still gets 25 miles to the gallon has A/C which will freeze an Eskimo's nuts off and has a radio that would make Jimmy Hendrix proud.
Did I fail to mention his car is very capable of running your times "or better" with more seat time....

As for the supra's you were talking **** on..
Duy - 9sec car driven on HPD cruises for 100's of miles.
Ross - 8sec car street driven
Kareem - 9sec car with 160,000 miles on it. Still has the stock tranny and rear-end.
Tommy Banh - Broke the Texas mile record in his supra. 200+mph

My car makes good power but I cant drive the damn thing on the track worth a ****.
I have tried quite a few times and cant get traction and cant launch it without spinning.
There is a solution
- Tires
- Susp.
- Rearend
- Weight reduction
- More track time
The question is do I want to do all of that? Answer is No
I enjoy it for what its ment to be.
The main difference is I don't get on here talking **** to people when I have a Avalanche sitting in my garage.

I don't think I was clear enough in my post. Does anyone race AGAINST anyone else? There is a big difference between "making a pass" and actually racing against someone for some $$.
Seems to me that whoever produces the best dyno number or takes the nicest photo of their car is king on this site.
As for 1996, where were you? I don't recall too many nights when anyone with an LT1 would challenge me. Maybe my car was well before it's time.

i drove my supra all the way out there and made a 10.0 pass letting of due to being scared at the top..and then a 9.8 coasting after the 1000' mark..i blew a damn Headgasket..IM never going to use anything else beside C16 in my Supra..the last two times i blew up, i used someone else gas.
and i know some of ya have seen the 240 run...nice and straight down the track!!!
btw...both my cars are down for a few weeks...

- But you want to setup a race against me and I will be there.
In the mean time I look forward to seeing this "car" when its all said in done.

Dont think g should be talking **** cause he couldnt move that 900 hp POS down the track a few weekends ago..What was your time? 14 somthing then you turned the boost down and dipped into the 13's??? You may have a high hp car but its worthless...Build somthing you can use....Starting to think you hpd guys have small dicks or somthing..One other thing..Get half the people to learn how to stage at the track and drive..Night all

G didnt build his vette' to be a quarter mile drag car, its a all out street car. As mentioned in his earlier posts, he is building a dedicated drag car.
