I bet it was someone that knew, or knew of him as well. They seemed to know just what to take off the car.

Yea, everyone keeps telling me that it had to be someone that knew me or my car, but I can really think of anyone that really stands out in my mind. The only think I can think of is that I took my car to Firestone to get the alinement done two weeks before my car was stolen. They are the only ones I think that just recently saw my car all the suspension and everything I had on it....

It's highly unlikely it was anyone that knew you that stole it. People who are saying that don't know the situation down here. Since mine was stolen Nov 17 of last year, there have been at least 10 more missing from the BR/NO area. Last month NOPD busted a chop shop that had 14 f-bodies in it, mine wasn't one of them, so that just shows you how many there could be that we don't even know about. It sucks, not much we can do other than get a lojack.

if they took off all the parts and replaced it with stock stuff, it sounds more like it could just be someone who wanted to put all of that suspension on their own car, for free. you wouldn't put parts back on a car you stole unless you were doing something like that, esp. a chop shop why would they get rid of parts worth money, they didnt need to put anything back on your car. check out the vin on the parts they put back on, and find out where that car is from. i bet he put everything on his own car. would be nice to return him the favor with an *** beating and stealing all your stuff back.

Why steal it back, when he could simply have the guy arrested and get it back that way?

They took that much from your car, and left the air bags? Don't those things sell for a good amount? I'd think if it were a chop shop, they would have taken those

Default sorry about your car

dont knwo if this helps but i work at an NTB, in order to write a ticket in our system you have to a one point enter the customers name, address phone number year make etc. anyone could of jotted you vin # at anytime and all you info was on the ticket. go tire shopping see if you see any nice cars out back or in the parking lot. could have very very easily been on of the techs.

That was the first thing that entered my mind when I looked at the pictures. Probably a good sign that these arent likely chop shop pros, but more likely a group of people who thought you had some nice parts that would look nicer on thier cars.
