Yeah, I know I'll miss the L, definately a fun truck. Especially with the 6 lbr. If I got the SS it would be a daily driver and I would tear in to the camaro for fun. Problem now is I want to mod the Camaro and the L, plus I want more room. I know the SS's aren't as fast but they do look extremey nice, plus with xm and all the other options you are getting an extremely nice truck for around 20 grand. I found a 2003 with 18000 miles, (blue which is what I want, fully loaded, which is what I want) for 22,500. I also thought about getting a harley but I feel kind of like a poser driving a truck when I will probably never buy a harley. Thanks for the votes guys

Keep the L, they are awesome trucks. I had a 02L that made 438/520 and loved it. Only reason I sold it was to be able to get my wife a nice suv with very little debt. There fun trucks for sure!!

Unless you need the room, keep the truck. Can't beat running 11's in a 5000lb pickup truck with a stock long block.

You also mentioned my next suggestion. If you need the room, then get a Harley truck. Same motor as the Lightning in a nice 4 door package. You're not a poser if you never buy a Harley bike lol.

Very nice choices, but I like the liberty of throwing what ever I want in the back.

the lightnings are definately fast, but if you need the extra room well get the SS silverado...... who says trucks cant be fast?? the 6.0 in the SS is a great starting platform... look at my sig and see what my extended cab did with the 5.3.... the 6.0 is in now, Im just waiting to go to the track and break some 11's, not bad for an extended cab.. by the way they already started making SS silverado's in 2wd as well...

Get an SSS and throw an STS kit on it and run mid/low 13s in comfort or get the D-Max. The D-Maxs are very nice trucks and thats what alot of guys end up getting after tehy mod a gasser. Ls are nice but I need more room and I believe thats what you are getting at. Get the SSS and drive it if thats what you really want. The SSS will be cheaper than a nice D-Max equipped truck too. There is a guy over on pt.net running high 11s wth just an sts kit, FMIC and meth on a stock 80e stall and trans all in an ECSB Z71, not too shaby IMO.
