At this point I am looking at the Horn game as a loss, they are beatable but not by A&M in Austin, not this year. I just like how we play this year.
A week ago i was thinking we had a descent shot at winning in austin, after last night, i think we'll be competitive but doubt we can notch a W.

we are good, but we will pick up next year... running two freshman cb's is hurting but the experience they are gaining is priceless... we will be losing j. scott, casey studdard, and blalock(i think) to the pros... but we have a bunch of great lineman in line, and colt looks better and better every game. he has def. impressed me

I'll have to respectfully disagree with you one that one. And no woulda coulda shoulda **** either. OU was playing with a back-up quarterback, and our star running back (arguably the best running back in the nation) sitting on the sidelines. He will be back in a couple of more weeks. Most definitely by the bowl game. And he WILL play.

OU was handing it to A&M until the onsides kick (which IMO was a stupid decision) and the personal foul that resulted in the 15 yard penalty that resulted in the automatic first down. Just before that penalty, OU had stopped A&M dead in its tracks. The only touchdown A&M had was a GIFT from OU. Hell, Allen Patrick had over 100 yards of rushing just in the first quarter!

A&M got ALOT of lucky breaks. I personally counted at least 5 times McGee threw the ball away because OUs D was about to hammer him. Yet they only penalized him for it ONCE.

IMO, A&M got outplayed and outcoached, and the score did not really reflect the game.

Last night was not a good night for our back-up quarterback, he usually looks alot better than that. Although it was abit of an ugly game, a W is a W and OU has beat A&M for the 7th time in the last 8 years. Now, no more whining about how A&M should have beat OU, please...

Please look at the box score my freind. Your team was 1-10 on 3rd downs, you only scored a FG in the 2nd half which we gave you the ball on our 6 yard line. We outgained you, we had the ball longer. There is nothing you can say that can dispute this, they are just facts. This game was lost when Fran tried to pass on 3rd and goal from the 2 yard line. Two runs up the middle with lane woulda tied the game and that FG we kicked at the end woulda sealed it. We were outcoached plain and simple. Not to mention we had the ball in your territory twice and managed to end up with 4th and 30 with holding calls and grounding penalities. Your QB is the one you have, don't call him your back up, Rhett was garbage anyway, he sucked. The RB you have now is your RB you will have next year, so why say that? Don't get me wrong, but when you go 1-10 on 3rds. get outgained, and lose the time of possesion how can you say you shoulda won. You have a very good team but if A&M had ***** last night you woulda lost the game. But we lost, good game and good luck the rest of the way. If you don't choke you guys are cotton bowl bound.

Who cares who outgained who. We outgained UT by over 100 yards and still lost. Besides that, yards and conversions don't win football games, points do I see what you UT fans mean about A&M's *moral* victories

You don't know that. We stopped you PLENTY of times on the run and there's no reason why we couldn't have done it again.

You were also outplayed as the score indicates. Remember, POINTS win football games, not stats!!

Penalties are part of the game, like the *gift* that we gave you.

Is that the same sucky Bomar that beat you guys last year

You know your on the losing end of this argument. The scoreboard is what it is and there is NOTHING that you can do about it. So stop whining now while you are behind.

Looks like it will another 2 years before the ags will have a shot at OU cause hey sure as hell ain't gonna get it done in Norman

Fact is you are gonna have a fish QB, and the guy running for you last night will be the same guy next year, who in my mind is very good. Im not gonna argue with you. I think we should have beat you, thats my opinion. Luckily for you your team won so why even entertain me? We outrushed you, we outpassed you. We had the ball longer, we completely shut your team down on 3rd downs. Our stupid POS coach lost the game for us, shoulda pounded you twice up the middle on 3rd and 2, and should have gone for it on 4th and 5 with 3:30 left, end of story. Ill bet you right now we beat you guys up in Norman next year, how about $100 bucks?

Henry Melton is garbage. Until he learns to run the football like Lane he should be sitting on the sidelines, or possibly blocking.

I'll take that bet.

And Thompson (the quarterback for OU) WILL NOT be back next year because his elgibility runs out after this season.

He's not nearly as bad as the qb for Colorado. During that game, I'll bet there were more Sooner fans that caught passes than Colorado receivers

I'm not being a smart *** I'm just curious. How many Big 12 Championships does A&M have?

Don't discount Sam Bradford. The kid is good. As far as running back. I think anyone can run behind that O-line, which if I remember correctly most if not all will be back next year.

We have 1, which was in 1998. I agree you guys have a great o-line, but A&M had more yards rushing than OU last night, and OU has the better D. There is alot of talent in the Big 12, OU, A&M, Nebraska, and Texas all have the talent it takes to be championship teams, OU got the most out of it's talent in the past, now Texas is doing it.

I was looking up the stats and on the Big 12 site and they have a great stats sheet that covers all the teams since 96. Including individual players awards and Big 12 as a whole in bowl games. Here is the link incase you don't already have it. It's PDF.

BIg 12 Stats 96 to 05

Yep, all those wouldas are things Fran screwed up, he needs to go. A&M has the stadium, facilities, talent and fanbase to win big. If Fran can't get it done someone can. Bring back Bob Davies or go get Butch Davis, we have the money.

I'm betting that Fran will probably stay. He's doing just good enough to keep from getting fired. And meantime, fatten up his retirement accounts. That's the impression I get from him. He's not stupid, he just doesn't care. Sounds like me and my job

He does not have the feet Lane has. Not many huge backs do. Lane takes little baby steps that get him moving downhill, it helps him make cuts and if by chance a defender gets in his was he simply smashes them and rolls on, you rarely see him go down by a single tackler. Sure would have been nice to see him on 3rd and 2 against OU. I looked at an interesting stat, Lane has been stoped on ONE 3rd or 4th and short this year, and that was against ARMY when a DB snuck in on a blitz on 4th and 1. What Fran was thinking rolling Mcgee out on 3rd and short is beyond me.
