Hold up Fellas..... I just got off the phone with the Powder/Ceramic coating shop in Mesquite that did the work. I am going to bring them to them and get them freshened back up.... some of the coating has come off (or the rust has built on em) they will be fixed under warranty.

Then I will post pics and sell em. Price will go back up to 400.00 after they are reconditioned.

You are asking way to much for headers in that bad of shape.

Btw cleaning them with steel wool takes the coating off....a few heat cycles and everywhere you touched with the wool is going to rust.

nope... talked to the coater... he said just a few passes to get the baked on goodness off...... was no rust on the ceramic... just some nice baked on road salt and grime. Scotch pads, then a couple passes with "4 grade" steel wool...... much better.

Those headers are 680.00 new..... I figured asking 400.00 for just a few dents on the bottom wasnt bad?

What is a good price bro?

Mike..... the coating is fine. Had them examined by the fellas at Enduro. They just had alot of crap baked on em. Most of it came off easily with pads. No need to recoat the headers, and putting them in a polish bead tub would just dirty/black the tub up due to the crap on the inside. It wouldnt be worth it anyway since most of that crap burns off and replaces itself.

Guys the parts you see from the hood look fine. The only a few spots are missing coating... mainly where the the exhaust was fit over the headers. Now it has Flanges welded on.

400 bucks for headers is not bad. They have a few dents as you can see in the pictures... but that is normal.

Mike, If you dont mind I would like to bring them by and have you examine them for me.

Thanks guys.

Thats fine. Ill be home tomorrow. Tonight Ive got to study for a test.

IMO, $400 is steep for some used Hookers. They arent in that bad of shape but id say realistically you'd be able to move them faster at $300 and make everyone happy.

Do you think you can get $480 for those true duals? If so let me know because I can get the exact same setup built for $230 with a 5yr. warranty so I need to have some made and sell them. Do you remember the ones that were on my car that tucked up nicer and looked almost like yours? BTW, how's that 408 coming along? Are you definitely using the l92 heads?

no more crack for you.......

Those Flo Pro Twisters cost over 120+ bucks by themselves... the piping is worth another 150+.... so if you can get me done and welded for 40 bucks you have a heck of a connection! BTW that does not include fabbing the X-pipe from scratch. X-pipe is worth more than 80 bones.... so 200 for the labor and hangers seems like a good deal to me.

Hutto, care to respond?
