Has anyone used Maaco?
Has anyone used Maaco? Im looking for a shop to do the CETA bumper mod and also fix my passenger side door. I have a pretty bad scratch that im going to get fixed, so they have to repaint the whole door. It looks like the old owner or maybe the dealership i got it from tried to touch it up, and its starting to fade. Maaco was just my first idea bc there is one local, but i would like to see if anyone has used them before.
i go to school in college station now, but im from houston so i may need to head back there to find a decent place.
if any locals that know of a good shop in CS let me know!

I'm not sure if Maaco is the best bet for you. From what I hear, their painting techniques and materials are up to par, but their prep work sucks. In painting, its ALL about the prep work, and no matter how good your materials and painting skills are, the paint will still turn out shitty.
For what you'd like done I don't see it costing any more than about $400, and thats a pretty high estimate too.

ya jack winslow off graham, i heard good things about them when i lived up there, but never used em. i lived off graham for a couple years and passed by it almost every day. i saw a wrecked black firehawk that got work done there one time, it semed like it was there a long time though. but if its worth the wait then why not.

Maaco sucks *****, They painted my bumper after i slid into another car on some ice. there were clear coat blimishes and paint runs. Not a good job at all. You would think they would fix that **** befor they call you back to pick up your car.

Maaco Sucks......never go there.
Winslows is a great shop, they have a long waiting list to get into their shop though. Other quality shops in College Station are;
-Henley's
-George's(changed there name)
-Varsity Ford(i've liked what i've seen coming out of there)
Those are a few, just stay away from any family run ones; i.e. chappel, oscar & sons.
