Or you could go to trade school, learn PDMS and become a good offshore piping desginer. Those guys **** off the mechanical engineers because they make as much or more money than them. I know becuase I work for an engineering company in IT.

We call Industrial Engineers (IE's) Imaginary Engineers. ![Winky](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_wink.gif)
I've worked as a mechanical engineering intern from may to august, and a co-op for from august to now, going back to school in January. I've made over $30k in under 7 months, and only have 2 years under my belt. This company starts all their engineers out at around $67k, and is about to have a 10% increase from what I hear.![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
One of our electrical engineering guys makes around $150k in a senior position, and normally recieves a 25% bonus every year. This year everyones bonus was doubled, so he will get a check for a smooth $75 grand.
