Need H-Town help
Houston members,
I'm heading your way to drive down and a deliver a presentation to a client tomorrow. The client is near former Enron HQ (I-45 and Jefferson area). South of Sam Houston Park.
Anyway, since my wife is not working she'll be riding along. I'm looking for a plan to keep her busy while I'm meeting with the client. Are there any malls/shopping centers nearby? I figure I'll drop her off there for 2-3 hours while I'm meeting with the client. I'm not handing her my platnium card, so no worries.
Please give me the name and approx location of your reccommended mall/shopping center and I'll let Mapquest do the rest.
TIA,
Todd

the galleria, loop 610 and 59. although, if you take her there you might not make it back till real late.
there is a mall in downtown, the shops at houston, in one of the buildings. it's connected to the tunnel system. that might be a better choics given your destination

Yep. Looking like that's the ticket. Have a co-worker from Houston and she said that's my best bet.

Girls can easily blow weekends at the galleria; day, day and a half is cake.
When are you coming in, when is the meeting and where are you coming from? We can help you get her dropped off and avoid traffic if possible. West from 45 anywhere at 610 is slow as hell, but 10 could work. South on 610 to gallera likewise. That is part of my morning drive to work. East back into downtown on Memorial is quick, it is getting back there from the galleria that takes creativity.

You will also be going right by "The Woodlands Mall" if you are taking 1-45 to down town Houston and you will go back by it on the way home. It is about 20 miles North of downtown Houston just about 5 miles south of Conroe;
If your wife gets tired of the Mall she can walk across the street due West to the Market Square in the Woodlands. Lots of small specialized shops. SHe could actually spend days and lots of your money in these two places alone.
Good Luck

That's what I'm trying to do... get "Christmas credit" for them.
Yeah, I know she could have racked up even more, but $700 hurts while I'm breaking the bank trying to build my new motor.
