as slow as you can go and get traction. you want to be in your good rpm band but not spin too much when you hit it

All the imports want to go from a 40 roll. 2nd gear is great in most of them from 40, too bad most f-bodies aren't.

Race from wherever feels strongest to you. If you can downshift into 1st and hook, go from 30 or so. If they want to go faster (and you can't hit 1st), go from wherever 2nd gear starts feeling strong. I'll go from 0-25, 50, or 70 in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, but I run 4.11's and shift at 6700.

Off the juice I like a 40, on the juice it's gotta be a 50+ because of major traction issues.
In my old Z28 with a Yank PT4000 a 25 roll was the only way to go.

Like everyone else said, with that A4 you want to go from the lowest speed possible while you can still hook. If you had a 6speed you could go from damn near anywhere.

Stock 3.23 A4 20 roll will downshift to the top of 1st...60 roll will hit the top of second

Not sure if you have adjusted shift points or gear ratio

hey cptncdy, just curious - and I cannot stress how much I am not trying to flame here - but, what are your views on the new street racing laws? Are you ok with losing your vehicle when doing some harmless street racing? I used to do it in highschool and such too, but now the risks are so high. A little harmless run on the feeder could end up costing you your car! Too high of a risk imo. I'd love to hear what others think too.
