MSR-H has really turned into a POS track. The asphalt has become wavey and causes really bad brake hop. On the carousel depressions have developed causing some really bad issues. And if you put a couple wheels off, you drag all kinds of gumbo back onto the track.

The track is a nicely laid out, but the back half is designed for Miatas and the front half is for Vipers. It just doesn't flow ...

Texas World Speedway in Bryan is rough, but a very nice track that flows really well. Lots of fun and lots of speed. Easily running out 4th and if you get on the straights right well into 5th with a 3.42 gear.

MSR-C is a class 1 track. Once you've been on that glass smooth track with lots of car friendly run-off, everything else pales in comparison.

Hallett in Tulsa is the best track in the area. It is an awesome facility.

I've been running road courses in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma in an F-Car since 1999 ...

I currently have a '96 TA built to CMC series specs. It weighs under 3000lbs dry.

Yes, it's a lot of fun. I've done a high performance driving school at TWS in Bryan/College Station with The Driver's Edge. I'm going again in March. It's $295 for the weekend. IMO, all high performance car enthusiasts should do one of these at least once.

My only complain about TWS is that transition on the front straight from the oval to the roadcourse is rough. The rest isnt too bad, just that one stop that makes your *** pucker if your in a street car.

so do you have to use one of their cars or can you use your own car?

Because personally I would rather use my own car cause i would like to know just how well my car would handle on a road course!

Yes, you use your own car. Learning your car better is really the point.

And yes, that one bump at TWS is kind of rough.

Depends on where you make that transition ...

The further to the left you go, the smoother. I see some running on the apron and avoid the transition altogether.
