Default Took the 408 to the Track Friday

I Took the 408 to the Track Friday and found out that the Nitto 555 Extreme Drags are not enough Tire. I made 3 PassesThe first a 12.3 at 110, Second a Fishtailing 14.1 and Third a tire swpinning 12.5. I think it's time for some slicks which means a new rearend will probably be needed also. Any suggestions on a tire that will work for me? The good news is the Car pulls great all thru the 1/4 Thanks G-Force for the Power.

lol.. Nice slow times, Mike Yeah I'm sure you'll blow the back end right out of that car with a set of slicks. That sucker's making some serious horsepower!

MT ET Radials. There have been 1.3x 60' times cut by many people and I may be dreaming but I think one guy went 1.2x. I had a set on my bolt on, stalled formula and they would grip so good during a burnout it would bog the engine completely down in first gear. People expect a car on slicks to be fast, but the radials still surprise the hell out of some.

I had 315 555R's and on the bottle they would not even hold up from a 45-50 roll. I now have 315 BFG Drags and not only were they a good inch wider than my old Nittos bu they hook 10x better, I can do 30 rolls in 1st with a DEAD hook, I havent taken em to the track yet but I know they will hook.

Ya I would say some BFG drag radials!! I'v seen some local guys here run some low 10's on those!!

BTW that MPH does seem a bit low considering it a 408!!

The lack of tracktion from the start plus trying it a few times then feathering it makes for a slow go... The damn thing is a pig also it weighed 4155 lbs friday night.

So true they are not thinking that I lost my launch which means the stall is out of the picture. Then spinning a few times and feathering it for awhile I may borrow some MT DR'S from a buddy I just hope the rear holds up.

My H/C ran 10.9`s with 100 shot. I had to have MT drags to get it. On my 315 nitto`s I was lucky to cut a 12.0 She spun the whole time down the track. I could see the bad trap speed. Put some good tires on and try it again. My car is the same, very heavy for a street car with me!
