Default Richard Hidalgo is an Astro again.

I think this could be a good pickup. Afterall, the guy was our team MVP in 03. He had around 44hrs, hit over .300 and had over 100rbis. He's got the talent, he just needs to find it again. I'm happy with this addition...especialy at a minor league salary.

Think about it.

Capable HRs:
Biggio - 20
Scott - 20-25?
Berkman - 40+
Lee - 40+
Ensberg - 30+
Hidalgo - 20+
Lamb - 20+
Lane - 20-25+

We've got some power to play with. It's just a matter of who's going to be consistant.

Good to see. BTW, was he a free agent or did we give someone up for him?

Nope, he was out of baseball last season, so the Astros signed him to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training as a non-roster invitee. I agree with Ross. It's a good move, especially for the price.

I was just stating what I thought his potential was given he plays the majority of the games.

I'll have a number #4 plain with cheese...coke for the drink. And yes, Whatasize it.

Deal! I hope I'm wrong about this, as that would help the Astros.

I have a feeling he won't land the starting job. Hidalgo and Scott will be going for RF as well. I have heard talks of Lane being tried out at center.
